SEED SOWING
There is an important principle in the Bible, the principle of SEED SOWING.
In Genesis 13, Abraham was instructed by God to offer his Son Isaac as a burnt offering. Abraham obeyed God and as he was ready to do so, ...
Genesis 22:10-18
And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.
And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and He said, Here am I.
And He said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.
And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.
And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.
And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time,
And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:
That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;
And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.
Abraham believed God ...(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom He believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. Romans 4:17
No wonder he is called our father of faith. He knew God could raise his son Isaac back to life.
Have you ever believed in God so much that you know nothing else but what He can do?
One of the quickest ways to know how much you can trust God is in your SEED SOWING! Especially when it has to do with something dear or precious to you.
You sow your seeds trusting him for a multiplied harvest and with the ability do more, because more will surely come when you sow more. 2 Corinthians 9:6-10, Luke 6:38, Genesis 26:12
This is the principle of seed sowing.
Your seed can come in different ways. It may be prayer, money, e.t.c. Whatever kind of seed it is, its the same principle.
You could sow seeds of prayer. Usually it's comes in Prayer if intercession, where you intercede for a soul. You sow times of prayer, just to get this soul placed where and how God wants him or her.
SEED-FAITH
It is important to note that your faith cannot survive alone. Faith cannot be fruitful alone. There are things to add to faith. One thing to add to faith is knowledge 2 Peter 1:5-7. One of this knowledge is that faith works alongside with a seed.
Whether in money or in action, faith without action is dead being alone. Whatever you are believing God for, try as much as possible to tie a seed to it. God responds to your actions and supports your faith.
Your seed is the vehicle through which your faith produces results. You cannot tie a seed to your faith and not receive answers. Something must leave you no matter how small for more to come.
Prayer cannot take the place of seed sowing. Prayer only waters your seed sown. Your harvest is a product of your seeds.
The devil most of the time may allow you to pray and fast, but when it comes to sowing, he starts putting ideas in your mind to make you feel you are wasting money. Anytime you feel like that, give more.
When God sees that your heart is willing to give, He expands your coasts to get more so you can give more. Praise God!
THE BEST SEED IS FOR SOWING;
Aside from your tithes and offerings, you ought to have special seeds from your income or any other money you get. This keeps you on top always and of course, multiplies the blessings that you get.
The quality of seeds you sow matter alot. You should sow the best. This can keep your ahead of others.
Even in farming, the farmers who wants good produce would have to sow the best seeds. During his harvest, he sets aside the best seed for sowing.
When you are into this kind of giving, you would of necessity be on top always, because you would always get a quality harvest. So it's quality giving for quality harvest.
So when next you get blessed whether financially or otherwise, be smart enough to set the best aside for sowing and then watch yourself move to higher levels of increase.
SEED TIME!
“While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest… shall not cease” (Genesis 8:22)
The above Scripture was God’s solemn declaration to Noah, his household and to all creation after the flood. It elucidates the kingdom principle which states that when I sow my seed, I have every right to expect a harvest from it. The Scripture says ‘seedtime and harvest’ and not ‘seedtime and harvest time.’ Meaning that there is a specific time to sow in order to activate God’s anointing on your behalf for a multiplied and sustained harvest.
Isaac dwelt in the land of Gerar (Genesis 26:6); a land already ravaged by famine. When everyone left town for Egypt- the land of corn and wine, Isaac was moved to do the same; he had forgotten that Abraham, his father, prospered wherever he went, irrespective of the prevailing economic conditions. Just when he was about to leave Gerar, God spoke to him: “do as I say and stay in this land. If you do, I will be with you and bless you… just as I promised Abraham your father’ (Genesis 26:3 TLB). “Then Isaac sowed in the land and received in the same year an hundredfold…” (Genesis 26:12-13). He recognized the seed time and thus he prospered the rest of his days.
When the city of Zarephath experienced a severe famine because there hadn’t been rainfall, a poor widow came to the city gates and gathered sticks to prepare her last meal. As she was doing that, Prophet Elijah showed up and demanded for the same meal she had hoped to prepare for herself and her son. When she sowed her seed (the meal), she lived the rest of her days in plenty. Imagine if she had refused to give the meal to the prophet, she would have missed her seed time and would have starved to death with her son.
Train yourself to respond promptly to God’s instruction to sow. Recognize that you are in partnership with God and get it working by faith.
